PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Dr. Clarissa Cole is a licensed forensic psychologist practicing in the state of California. She has supervised tens-of-thousands of violence risk assessments on California’s incarcerated population as part of a program that is the first of its kind in the United States. She co-authored the textbook, Profiling Violent Crime: A Behavioral and Forensic Approach, with one of the F.B.I.’s original profilers, Special Agent (ret.) Pete Klismet. She has also prepared profiles for various law enforcement agencies to help aid in the capture of unidentified suspects.

For several years, Doctor Cole was the featured co-host of “After Hours A.M./‘The Criminal Code,’” a live, true-crime radio show. She has appeared, as both guest and featured expert, in a number of documentaries, including Dan Sellers’s, “Trouble Will Cause.”

CURRENT PROJECTS:
Dr. Cole is working on a new podcast series that explores the American criminal justice system and the history of criminology and profiling.

Dr. Cole received her Master’s and Doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from Baylor University in 2003 and 2005, respectively. She earned a certificate from the National Judicial College in Fair Hearing Processes for Administrative Law Judges in 2023. Additionally, Dr. Cole is in the process of becoming a Certified Threat Manager (CTM).
